Four wildlife trails in the parish of Chardstock

5th May 2016

Volunteers in Chardstock have produced a self-guided wildlife themed walk leaflet promoting a number if routes around the village. There are four walks of varying length around the parish that help people discover just how much of interest there is in the parish by pointing out plants, animals and the geological features that mould the local landscape.

The leaflet was produced with support from the Blackdown Hills Natural Futures project and with funding from the Blackdown Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty Sustainable Development Fund.

The walks leaflet features some of naturalist Martin Drake's excellent line drawings and is available in numerous outlets around the Blackdown Hills and individual walks can be downloaded in PDF form here.
